Known for its collection of garden homes, large heavily wooded estate lots, and sprawling mansions, Rogers Ranch is divided into the subsections of Falling Brook, Crosstimber, Salado Canyon, and Point Bluff. With properties built as early as the mid 1990’s, homes in these four gated neighborhoods have been constructed by a number of well regarded San Antonio home builders including Prestige, Japhet, David Weekly, Sitterle, Ryland, Centex, and Newmark.

Additionally, some areas of the neighborhood feature high-end custom homes built by Monticello Homes and Mike Holloway Custom Homes, among others. Because of the diverse selection of builders, Rogers Ranch features an assortment of homes for a variety of lifestyles.

With an average home size of around 3,000 square feet, many homes in Rogers Ranch feature four bedrooms with at least two and a half baths and boast of open floor plans. Because that may seem too large for some, the section of The Gardens on Point Bluff offers luxury hillside garden homes constructed with convenience in mind. With mostly one-story homes, situated on smaller lots that are maintained by the HOA, The Gardens are perfect for retirees, or homeowners with limited time. Alternatively, Point Bluff also offers sprawling custom estates in the exclusive section of The Peninsula, allowing homeowners to spread out over 4,000+ square feet. With a range of properties in the neighborhoods, prices can vary from as little as $275,000 all the way to over $900,000.

While the diverse home selection is a huge draw to the neighborhood, a large part of the appeal of this community lies in the neighborhood amenities. Not only are the sections of Rogers Ranch gated, they also feature pools, walking trails, greenbelts, a community center, playgrounds, tennis courts, and more. Just outside the neighborhood residents have access to some of the best shopping, dining, and entertainment in San Antonio. Just eight miles away, The Shops at La Cantera features upscale shopping and restaurants along pedestrian walkways that meander through spectacular streetscape development and native landscaping. Offering more shopping and dining, plus entertainment, The Rim provides the ideal destination for perusing shops, grabbing a bite to eat, or enjoying a movie at the Palladium.

Aside from nearby shopping and dining destinations, Rogers Ranch is situated alongside one of San Antonio’s premier fitness clubs, Gold’s Gym Rogers Ranch. Featuring an enormous variety of fitness classes, a basketball court, and an outdoor aquatics complex, this Gold’s Gym location offers fitness and entertainment for all. Whether taking advantage of the club’s full-service day spa or refueling at the healthy café while the kids play at the outdoor water park, this gym provides upscale experiences for its members.

Also located near Rogers Ranch is the popular San Antonio theme park,  Six Flags Fiesta Texas. While frequently visited by tourists, many locals visit often and purchase season passes in an effort to stop in for a special event, make a quick afternoon trip, or enjoy the nightly fireworks show. Additionally, many residents also invest in season passes to Sea World, which is a bit further than Six Flags but offers an entirely different experience for the family.

But it’s not just shopping, dining, gyms and theme parks that residents of Rogers Ranch have access to. Students in Rogers Ranch are serviced by  Northside Independent School District and North East Independent School District, both premier San Antonio public school districts. Featuring new facilities, award-winning faculty, and more extracurricular activities than any other school district in Bexar County, these two districts are highly sought after and offer quality education in a public setting. Aside from their traditional school campuses, both NISD and NEISD offer magnet programs for high school students. These programs include specialized curriculum in business, communications, construction, health care, science, engineering, applied technologies, math, media applications, agriscience, automotive technology, design, electrical systems, and fine arts.

Though the public schools around Rogers Ranch are excellent, residents in the neighborhood also enjoy the convenience of several private schools in the area. Within the entrance to the community lies The Montessori School of San Antonio, a renowned private school serving students from preschool to 8th grade. This popular Rogers Ranch private school provides “a learning environment organized around mixed-age groupings that provide rich peer stimulus and continuity in the learning process.” Other private schools in the area are Concordia Lutheran School, The Atonement Academy, and TMI.
